Celebrating exam success

Congratulations to our client manager, Alain Medina, on achieving his accountancy qualification.

From Apprentice to client manager

Congratulations to our client manager, Alain Medina, on passing all of his accountancy exams to become a chartered accountant.

Alain joined the firm as a school-leaver apprentice in 2016, quickly progressing from admin tasks to managing his own bookkeeping and VAT assignments. Alongside his studies, he gained experience in management accounts and now handles year ends, management accounts and day-to-day finance responsibilities for some of our larger clients.

Alain said, “I really enjoy working closely with clients, understanding how their businesses operate and adding value by helping them implement robust systems and optimise bookkeeping processes. I’m pleased I’ve been able to put my problem-solving and analytical skills to good use by analysing financial records and business performance, giving clients reliable financial information to help them make informed decisions.

“I’m grateful to Swinton Accountants for the opportunity to continue my studies through to ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) and the support along the way. The firm’s meticulous training and strong processes have helped shape how I approach all my client engagements – never compromising on quality and always looking for ways to improve.”

Taking a well-earned break from studying, now he’s an ACCA qualified accountant, Alain will focus on continuing to build his already varied client base, with a particular specialism in construction, hospitality and motor dealers.

Director Chris Swinton commented, “We’re proud of Alain who has worked incredibly hard to achieve his qualification, passing all of his exams first time, which is no small feat. His expertise is wide-ranging, from finance function support and corporate restructuring to helping clients implement accountancy software. I look forward to seeing his career continue to progress and the value he brings to our growing client base.”
